Duluth Arts fund raiser

" Monteagle Motel "

Twice a year the Atlanta Artist's Ctr sponsors a trip to MontEagle, TN. This is a painting I did of the MtEagle Motel. It was abandoned the last time I saw it........this spring it was gone! Oh dear.....another touch of nostaglia gone!

I painted this on the Dice Farm in Indiana. See the little corn in the upper right hand corner? The stalks are dreaming she will bccome a part of them soon. acrylic 12 x 26 with a black floater frame .

" The Hog Nursery "

Blue's family farm in Indiana is an artist's paradise ( pair-a-dice? ). It's been in the Dice family for 140 years......time has taken many of the old barns and buildings but this barn still stands today. I recall meeting a few 500 lbs hogs on my first visit to Indiana in 1972. Now the barn is showing it's age but is still standing tall behind the Dice Farmhouse.

Some paintings linger in my studio.....others fly out the door. This one is going to a good home..........flying out the door as soon as the frame arrives. It's an oil painting and sure is taking it's time drying!
